Customization as Competitive Advantage

Our video production strategy emphasized Zalkin's differentiation through customized machine-making capabilities:

We make customized machines. There is a need for a starting point and the starting point is the customer wants to do something different, a differentiation from any of their competitors in the market. So they come to Zalkin with their needs, with their ideas, and then we develop a customized solution just only for them. This is what Zalkin knows how to do better than anyone else.

International Manufacturing Video Production FAQ

Can you manage international video production across multiple countries?
Yes! Bruen Media Group specializes in international manufacturing video production coordinating filming across multiple countries and integrating diverse footage sources. For this Zalkin project, we filmed extensively at their US facility in Georgia while integrating footage from their French operations to create seamless global brand messaging. Our experience includes coordinating production schedules across time zones, ensuring visual consistency despite different filming teams, and managing international logistics to deliver cohesive narratives for global manufacturers.
How do you ensure consistency across multi-location international video production?
Professional multi-location video production maintains consistency through careful color grading, matching visual styles, consistent pacing, and unified narrative structure. When integrating footage from different countries and production teams, we analyze all source material for quality and visual characteristics, apply color correction to match footage from different cameras and lighting conditions, ensure consistent framing and composition styles, and craft story structures that create seamless flow between locations. For the Zalkin project, we integrated US-filmed content with French facility footage to create unified global messaging despite different production teams and equipment.
What's involved in coordinating multi-country manufacturing video production?
Multi-country manufacturing video production typically requires 8-12 week timelines including: story development and coordination with international teams (2-3 weeks), filming at US facilities (1-2 weeks), receiving and reviewing international footage (1-2 weeks), post-production integration ensuring visual and narrative consistency (3-4 weeks), and client review across multiple time zones (1-2 weeks). Success requires careful project management, clear communication protocols, and experience managing diverse footage sources to create seamless global brand messaging.
How much does international manufacturing video production cost?
International manufacturing video production costs vary based on number of filming locations, footage integration complexity, and coordination requirements. Projects involving US-based production with international footage integration typically range $15,000-$30,000 depending on extent of domestic filming, international coordination needs, and post-production integration requirements. "There is something very special in Zalkin in every one of our employees. We make customized machines. There is a need for a starting point and the starting point is the customer wants to do something different, a differentiation to any of his competitor in the market. So they come to Zalkin with their needs, with their ideas, and then we develop a customized solution just only for them. This is what Zalkin knows how to do better than anyone else."

"Zalkin is a global company. We have machines in more than 120 countries around the world. We have two sites. One in Montreal, France and the other one in the United States in Georgia."

"We have an extended sales team in France, in Europe, and in North America. And we work with strong partners in Latin America, in Greater China and also in Asia. So we serve local customers, local brands, but also global partners."

"At Zalkin, we serve several industries mainly beverages including water, spirits, and also foods. And we serve also home and personal care, including pharmaceutical applications."

"In our solutions, we have to consider the speed, the flexibility, and the efficiency of the machines. We have to consider the low speeds with more flexibility, but also the high speed lines. We have a dedicated group for that. Special engineers dedicated to innovation and R&D, and we have a special process. We follow this process from the market request to the validation of the product at the end, and we also use different technology, including vision system, cameras, of course robotics, automation to improve our machine and to have more efficiency, more quality. And at the end a better solution for the customer."

"I've worked with Zalkin for a long time and we have worked at competitors and we always come back to Zalkin. The reason we do that is because of build quality. We have Zalkin cappers here that are 30 years old, probably as long as I've worked here. We still have machines sold in the seventies and still working because when you buy a Zalkin machine, it's a very strong machine, capable to produce for many, many years."

"We have people in different parts of the world that are Zalkin people, and they are calling on customers, servicing our customers on a daily basis. So when you look at Zalkin of Americas, we have people working every day on servicing the customer."

"Our facility in Georgia gives us a significant presence in the Americas. When you combine the expertise between the two entities, 160 years of experience, you can easily understand that Zalkin has seen a lot of applications and I think for our customers it's important. Especially as we start pushing the envelope and trying to do things faster, different closures, more complex closures."

"Our customers are coming with needs. They see the market moving toward that direction. Every week of the year, we have customers coming with cap manufacturers in developing solution for the next 1, 2, 3, 5 years. They are ahead of the market and we here at Zalkin with a team of people dedicated to work with customers, developing those solutions for tomorrow's consumers."

"So one of the trends that we're seeing is our customers wanting to be more eco-friendly and have green initiatives. Some of the things we're working with our customers on include tethered caps on lightweight plastic bottles, lighter weight packages, and most recently water in aluminum bottles."

"Zalkin has developed our own solution called ZC Lab where we can actually test any cap at any time as if it was in the real production. So we actually can give recommendation to our customers on what they need to improve to reach this kind of level of performance, level of quality."

"If the customer has new project for new caps, we have a dedicated team able to make the offer technically to support the customer for their choices and to install everything to make sure that everything will work perfectly during the installations and during the life of the machine."

"Service follows the trends within the industry. And by following the trends within the industry, they get an in-depth insight to what the consumer wants and needs. And that's where we try and respond to that. So what that does for us, and it does for the suppliers like Zalkin, is it means that people want us to respond quicker and we want the supplier Zalkin to respond quicker to the engineering challenges. And so when I speak to Zalkin, they're very responsive and they're very open to ideas about the new products that come along. And we work closely with them."

"The goal of the LCM team is to extend the lifecycle of our customer's equipment. So from the time they purchase their capping machine, we're here to help 'em with parts, conversions, and upgrades, and then any service needs they have. When they have a marketing change in a commodity or a product they wanna put out in the field, they look to us for conversions and upgrades. And then look to us to put those in place, install 'em for 'em, and then make sure that they run for a long time."

"In 2000, Fowler Products was one of the first companies that ProMach acquired in the packaging industry. So at that point, we became partners with Zalkin. When the Zalkin family decided that they were ready to step away, they sold the rest of the Zalkin business to ProMach with the understanding that we would continue to invest and help it grow."

"The investments that we've made around the world to be able to produce parts where our customers are, allow us to provide really excellent turnaround on parts. Another big component of investment that we've done is in our people. We have some of the best service technicians in the industry, strategically located around the world in Latin America, Brazil, North America, France, Asia, Spain."

"We're gonna invest money in people closer to our customers. It's really important that we have a local presence and with technical support to support our client base."

"There are tons of opportunity for Zalkin to build for the next 90 years. Our future opportunities out there will only happen if we are capable of keeping servicing our customers. ProMach is going to invest more than $15 million in an extension. We are gonna build capacity for our tomorrow's growth, and this is a signal to the market that we will be there for the next 90 years."
